Jachtbouw De Alm is building Vryburg again
A beautiful new assignment for Jachtbouw De Alm. We delivered the Vryburg I PB58, which has a length of 17,5 meters, in 2011. Now, 13 years later, we can rebuild this model in an extended version of 19,40 meters PB65.
With a length of 19,40 meters and a beam of 5,55 meters, the Vryburg is a robust, fully round bilged, seaworthy yacht designed for all weather conditions. What is immediately noticeable are the wide gangways and the high positioning of the bollards and railing that enhance the feeling of comfort and safety.
Because the ship is equipped with a flybridge, you would expect a staircase on the aft deck, but it is located inside the wheelhouse. This allows the owner to quickly change the steering position. On the aft deck there is an L-shaped sofa against the salon. At sea you are nice and sheltered under the upper deck. If you want sun, you can sit on the sofa on the foredeck or the flybridge.
The door on the aft deck provides access to the spacious salon, where the large windows allow plenty of light. Most of it is on one level, and although the transition from the salon to the wheelhouse is smooth, you immediately imagine yourself in a different space. This is partly due to the sturdy and striking sliding doors to the wide gangways, but especially due to the centrally located steering position. The spacious dashboard with large screens gives the feeling of standing on the bridge of a large yacht. From the fixed helmsman's seat there is good visibility all around, including to the rear, and with a tank capacity of 9.000 liters of fuel, long journeys can easily be made.
The design is by Pieter Beeldsnijder and Naval Architect Vripack, built by Jachtbouw De Alm.
